With a view towards rebuilding trust and restoring hope in multilateral institutions at this critical moment for people and the planet, the United Nations Youth Office has launched an advocacy campaign in the form of an open letter from youth and allies to world leaders, with a focus on elevating young people’s voices and demands building up to the Summit of the Future in September 2024 and beyond.
In recognition that we need more young people represented in all spheres of decision-making, we are mobilizing youth and allies around an open letter to world leaders
Ways to Engage:
- Sign the open letter, open to both youth and allies (available in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese)
- Mobilize your networks (a full communications toolkit is available, including calls to action, key messages, quote cards, photo frames and more)
- Be sure to tag @UNYouthAffairs and use #YouthLead (together with #ActNow and #OurCommonFuture as complementary hashtags)
- Amplify young people’s voices and demands in your advocacy with governments, calling for meaningful youth engagement to become the norm at all levels, backed by dedicated resourcing everywhere around the world
