The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) in partnership with UNAOC, United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and the International Centre for Sport and Security (ICSS), have launched the call for applications for the First Online Youth Consultation on Preventing Violent Extremism through Sport within the framework of the UN Global Programme on Security of Major Sporting Events, and Promotion of Sport and its Values as a Tool to Prevent Violent Extremism.
The forum aims to seek the input of the youth in delivering outputs that advance the role of sport in preventing violent extremism, and strengthen partnerships between Member States and the youth in achieving sustainable peace.
