Summer Schools

I am an ELT and head of a non-governmental organization Dea Dia in Serbia which is a is a non-profit, non-governmental and youth-led organization working for diversity, equality and innovation in education, peace-building, and empowerment of young people to be active changemakers in their communities. We also work with teachers and other organizations in Serbia in order to reduce xenophobia, racism, anti-Semitism, GSBV and bi/trans/homophobia in our schools. In that role, I develop education programs and conduct trainings to tackle youth radicalization and foster social inclusion. As a founding director, I handle our projects and monitor the activities, organization, and costs of the organization. As a project manager in my NGO, I write effective proposals and coordinate the projects in the field of education. Furthermore, I am the organizer and co-creator of the international Erasmus + programme youth exchanges, seminars and training courses in order to provide educational mobility opportunities for rural youth and teachers and in that way tackle the problems of rising inequality, exclusion and violence in schools and wider community. I currently lead "Anatomy of Ostracism", a joint project between Finnish and Serbian education experts, on the role of education in reproducing the power structures and/or challenging social norms and narratives. We have developed a Training curriculum for Finnish and Serbian teachers as an outcome of our joint project, which comprises competences how to challenge racist and xenophobic attitudes and behaviour among the students. I received my bachelor and master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Philology, Belgrade University.
