Ms. Blerjana Bino, PhD(c) is currently the Director of the UET Centre for Research and Development and is also a Lecturer of Political Communication and Media at the Department of Communication and Public Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education at UET. Ms. Bino holds a Master of Science Degree in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science in UK. Ms. Bino is currently at the final stage of her doctoral studies investigating the role of alternative media in countering marginalization. In addition, Ms. Bino has recently conducted a research period at the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg with a particular focus on political discourses of leftist parties. In addition, Ms Bino will conduct a research fellowship at the Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI) at the University of Westminster under the supervision of Prof. Steven Barnett and Prof. Roza Tsagarousianou, investigating new media and alternative communication (including populist discourses). Ms. Bino is about to publish the Albanian Media Policy for the International Encyclopedia of Media Law, supported by the Kluwer Law International Publications. Finally, Ms. Bino has been involved in the development and management of various research projects funded by the European Commission; British Council; Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation; GIZ, Open Society Foundation; etc.
