Summer Schools

I describe myself as a human rights and equality activist and educator, since graduating with a masters degree in peace and conflict studies I’ve worked and volunteered with a number of human rights and social justice organisations who work in Ireland, UK, Bosnia, Serbia and Afghanistan. For the past two years working with a women’s network supporting and advocating for women’s rights and equality. In 2016 I set up my organisation Equality Aware which promotes and provides human rights training and education. Working to support the empowerment of people and communities to recognise their rights, build skills and confidence to challenge injustice locally and globally. My experiences highlight the importance of addressing issues of potential conflict in creative, communitive and nonviolent methods. It’s my ambition to continue to work and develop my skills so that I can support communities and particularly youth ability to address social issues, injustices and inequalities through non-violent methods.
