Eleanor Pinugu’s vision for the country is for all children to have access to quality education, no matter what their socio-economic background is. At 23 years old, she founded Mano Amiga Philippines (www.manoamigaph.org) a multi-awarded social enterprise focused on creating education opportunities that serve as catalyst for community transformation and inclusive growth. Its programs include affordable high quality K-12 education, skills training and culinary social enterprise for disadvantaged women, values formation for families, and advocacy campaigns for social change. Mano Amiga uplifts low-income communities through increased student learning outcomes, increased sustainable livelihood opportunities, and improved health and well-being for families. In 2017, Eleanor, co-founded She Talks Asia (www.shetalksasia.com) a media empowerment platform that seeks to elevate discourse and promote action on issues surrounding women empowerment, LGBTQ rights and gender equality, inter-religious and intercultural dialogue. In 2012, she was heralded as a Global Shaper, and had been chosen as youth presenter at the World Economic Forum Annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. She has also been asked to represent the Philippines in various youth conferences for Social Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Peace-building including the Asian Social Enterprise summit in Korea, Microsoft Innovate for Good in Singapore and the EF-UNAOC Summer program in New York. In 2013, Lynn became one of the youngest recipients of The Outstanding Women in the Nation's Service- considered as the most prestigious award for women in the Philippines. In 2017, Lynn was awarded by Asia Society as an Asia 21 Young Leader.
