Hamza Abdullahi Musse

Hamza Musse, 22, promotes and trains young people to become politically engaged by finding critical policy solutions in their communities. He founded the University of Minnesota chapter of the Roosevelt Institute to incorporate public policy to the undergraduate curriculum and promote community-engaged research for designing effective policies. For instance, upon the launch of the Twin Cities Green Line Light Rail in 2014, Hamza led a study to determine the barriers of mass transit for Limited English Speakers (LEP). Raised in the Twin Cities, Hamza is a senior majoring in Political Science.
