Khaleem Ali

Young Peacebuilders

I’m Khaleem Trevor Ali, a dedicated advocate for human rights, strategic foresight, and inclusive policy development. My work spans global, regional, and local levels, focusing on the death penalty, LGBTQIA+ rights, and the intersection of climate change with human rights. I’ve represented at the UNHRC, made country submissions, and contributed to international human rights discourse. I co-founded a global NGO addressing futures literacy and serve as the regional lead for LAC at the International Center for Global Advancement. Additionally, I was appointed to the UNODC’s GenJust Youth Network, working on crime prevention and preparing for the 15th Global Crime Congress. My passion for development and planning for the future drives my approach, ensuring tailored strategies that bridge gaps between regions and communities. In the Caribbean, I’ve worked with UNESCO on Youth, Peace, and Security, served as a youth peacebuilder at UNAOC, and founded a climate action network in Trinidad and Tobago. My work is deeply rooted in equity, diversity, and inclusion, and I continue to champion marginalized voices in global conversations. Beyond advocacy, I develop interactive tools for dialogue, including ‘Consensus ad Idem,’ a game designed to foster understanding on social issues. I’m also preparing a presentation on reputation management and crisis communication for NGOs. I hold a Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School and was honored with the Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh Award for Human Rights. At my core, I believe in the power of strategic action, meaningful dialogue, and future-oriented solutions to create lasting change.
