Malu Viana Batista


MA in International Education, University of London Institute of Education, Founder and Executive Director of TAL, a network of public and cultural TVs from all Latin American countries and communities. Its mission is to promote cross-cultural understanding, to facilitate the exchange of audiovisual content and to strength the work of public service broadcasters. TAL also organizes joint actions such as co-productions, professional training and creative workshops. She also worked as Executive Producer in more than 200 audiovisual works. In cinema, recently produced the feature film Between Valleys by Philippe Barcinski, Rat Fever by Claudio Assis and Tatoo of Hilton Lacerda. With the documentaries Oscar Niemeyer - The Architect of the Century co-produced with Discovery and ARTE, The Brazilians for Discovery Channel and Children of the Sun for People & Arts, was three times nominated for the Emmy International Awards.
