I am an Occupational Therapist with a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation. I have worked as a Community Outreach OT in regional Tasmania, as a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator in an aged care facility, as an Horticultural Therapist at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and as a writer-in-residence at Risdon Maximum Security Prison. I have done some private practice Occupational Therapy. I did belong to OOFRAS (Occupational Opportunities for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) which is an international professional association. I have been a volunteer at Pontville Detention Centre. I belong to the Tasmanian Asylum Seeker Support Network, the Transcultural Mental Health Network and Aged Care Service. I have been an editor of an Australian/Indonesian literary magazine (Coastlines) and some of my (literary) work has been translated into Hindi and published in Delhi. Improvement & Healthy Ageing:CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse)Project (CP) and the Hobart Human Library. I am a published author of short stories, poetry and novels.
