Saed Karzoun
Media Programming
Saed Karzoun is a media person and a blogger. He presents radio programs, directs movies, and plays oriental music as well. In 2003 I was one of the founders and public relations director of Al Kamandjati Music Association for the Palestinian refugee camps of Palestine and Lebanon. In 2010 I was appointed Head of Board of Directors of Sharek Youth Forum. In 2012 I participated in a four week Cultural Management Training Programme for Cultural Managers in Germany and four weeks of building media projects at Deutsche Welle in the city of Bonn. In 2013 I participated in Digital Journalism tools training for newsgathering & reporting across cultures, organized and founded by Google and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in association with The World Bank Institute. I have led media campaigns, led social, health, economic and political projects and initiatives, and partnered with local and international institutions. My projects call for positive change, building dialogue between the Middle East and the rest of the World. At the end of 2012 Al Jazeera Channel screened a short movie about my work as an example of success and originality, mainly because I initiated new unrestrained media content that reaches out to every human being by offering a new kind of information that influences decision-makers for promoting a free and democratic society.
