Young Peacebuilders



Shadi is a young Iranian peacebuilder with a strong interest in cultural mediation, conflict resolution and social inclusion. She is a UNOAC Young Peacebuilder (MENA Region) and Iran's representative at the Youth, Peace and Security (UNSCR 2250) Regional Consultation in Bangkok, Thailand. She has been trained as part of the ActOn2250 Global Training Course for the Implementation of the UNSCR 2250 and also a trainer and facilitator from Youth for Peace International's Global Training of Trainers Program on Youth and Peacebuilding which was held in cooperation with UNOY and UNFPA APRO. Shadi has interned at the United Nations Information Centre and UNICEF Iran with a focus on youth, peacebuilding linguistics and nonviolence. She has organized many youth initiatives, training seminars, ToTs and workshops in Iran with various public, private and international partnerships including Tehran Peace Event and Nelson Mandela Day. She is currently pursuing her studies as a Master's student of the MiM Program (Crossing the Mediterranean: towards Investment and Integration) and focuses on cultural mediation. Through her studies she has researched youth peacebuilding initiatives in Tunisia and worked on migration in France and Italy.
