Tania Safi

Tania Safi (1988) is an investigative-gonzo media journalist, and all round community watchdog. Working briefly as motion graphics animator for The Roast (ABC), Tania went on to follow her true calling working as director and producer of Newslab, an online satirical comedy team by creators of The Chaser (Charles Firth). She was Head of Video at BuzzFeed Australia, spearheading the company by turning the wardrobe into the studio that was soon to create viral hits that had a reach of over 50+ million views. Shortly after, the company relocated her as Senior Video Producer to BuzzFeed Los Angeles where she shot, directed, produced and edited hundreds of videos for their cross-platforms. Her passion remains in educational, empathetic, and awareness raising pieces, particularly for a younger audience that is over-saturated in media and misinformation. Currently based in London and Lebanon, Safi continues to freelance, hoping to create a series that will help increase philanthropy.
