Tatiana Torres

Mentors

Tatiana Torres currently is the Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office of Legal Council (MOLC) , after a temporary detail with the transition team for (then) Mayor-Elect, Muriel Bowser. In the MOLC, she is responsible for the operations and management of a staff of ten individuals, including the Director and Deputy Director. Prior to that, she served as Membership Director for the Federal City Council (FCC) for two years. The FCC is a non-profit lead by former Mayor Anthony Williams and dedicated to the civic improvement of the District of Columbia. During her tenure, over 40 executives joined the FCC and she raised over $50 k in additional sponsorship for annual efforts. While serving as Membership Director, Tatiana graduated with her Executive Master’s from the McDonough Business School at Georgetown University in 2013, with a concentration in Leadership. Tatiana is no stranger to the John A. Wilson Building. She served as Special Assistant / Traveling Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia. Before moving to the District, Tatiana worked in the New York metro area at Denihan Hospitality Group/Affinia Hotels and Mas Media Inc. a boutique government public relations firm. Previously to her work in New York, Tatiana worked as a professional interpreter and translator to the CEO for an international sales company called Grand View Products, where she traveled extensively through Central and South America where she became part of the Executive Sales team. Tatiana received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting Communications/Journalism from Montclair State University in 2006. Tatiana is a proud Ward 5 resident, sings and volunteers at her church as a DC Campus Advisory Leader and participates in the Beautiful You Movement,her family, two small nephews, and her Hispanic heritage.
