Intercultural Innovation Award (IIA)
Unistream was founded in 2001 with the vision to reshape the future of Israeli society by harnessing education and entrepreneurship. With its Entrepreneurship Centers throughout Israel and work in over 120 communities, Unistream trains underprivileged youth from diverse sectors of Israeli society to become business and social entrepreneurs with both a strong local and global perspective. Unistream’s Vision: Close Israel’s socio-economic gaps by forging Israel’s next generation of socially conscious business leaders & entrepreneurs. Mission: 1. Equip underprivileged youth with practical entrepreneurial, business, leadership, and technological skills to ensure their success as thriving and active citizens who assume key roles in business and the social sphere. 2. Initiate significant social change in disadvantaged communities and promoting pluralism, diversity and inter-cultural dialogue by creating local examples of success that signal to the entire community that mobility is possible and therefore provide hope, dreams, motivation, and inspiration for other young people in those neighborhoods. Rational: By introducing participants to the world of business development, we provide them with tangible skills, enabling them to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society.
