Youth for Positive Change (YOPOC) is youth led charitable organization.YOPOC is implementing three development programmes,namely, HIV/AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health program; Education programme and Human Rights Programme. The programmes are briefly discussed below: HIV/AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health program: YOPOCs theory of change under this programme is when members of the community in Mwambo area have adequate information and skills on HIV/ AIDS prevention, care and support of people living with HIV/ AIDS, they will adopt behavior that will enable them to live a healthful life. Therefore, is establishing and strengthening community structure that will provide information and skill for HIV/Aids prevention, care and support so that members of the community can actively participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Education programme: The theory of change of this programme is that when early and forced marriages of girls are eliminated, many girls will complete their secondary school education and be able to develop their community. Therefore, YOPOC is carrying out advocacy campaigns against child and forced marriages of girls; raising awareness of the need to and benefit of the community in Chikowi to ensure and promote girl-child education so that that girls all girls receive a good education. Human Rights Programme: YOPOCs theory of change is that women and girls with disabilities, especially those living with albinism can be socio-economically empowered if they do not live in fear of being abducted and killed by people who believe that body parts of people living with albinism can bring wealth. Therefore, YOPOC is advocating for the implimentation of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilitiies (CRPD) to which Malawi is a party.
