Intercultural Innovation Award (IIA)

We help empower youth, women and minorities thanks to our diverse mentorship programs that are grounded on robust and relevant strategies of building inclusive and resilient communities by combining social entrepreneurship in nexus to economy, gender, security and cultural sensitiveness. We organize hackathons, startups and ideation camps to encourage youth and women to come up with innovative ideas and projects that would grant them economic empowerment, a sense of self-worth and resilience to vulnerability. one of recent projects was awarded by the UNAOC and the BMW Group Intercultural Innovation award for our Unleash Tunisia Venture Bus project that toured the country to coach youth graduates core competencies and soft skills related to startups creation and job hunting techniques. We have toured overall 17 cities benefitting by that 150 graduates who would visit local startups and NGOs along accessing capacity building program inside the bus and in our partners venues. We have helped match them with incubators and local career centers and also visit 5 regional jib fairs that we organized on the span of the project duration.Thousands of youth accessed those events to meet potential employers and investors and have also signed up for our massive online MOOC to get insights on management and leadership skills. Our project helped youth get connected to opportunities and institutions and also build peace while traveling between cities and get open to new perspectives and horizons thanks to our bottom up approach that shifted the paradigm and helped create resilience to violent extremist groups that would exploit the vulnerability factor of such target to radicalize them.
