Connecting Africa and Europe – A tale of two continents by Michel Alimasi

Michel Alimasi

Son of a Congolese father and an Italian mother, Michel Alimasi is a proud UNAOC alumnus. Engaged in different social impact projects in Italy and abroad he currently works as strategy consultant for non profit organizations.

In 2018 he was selected by Chatham House (an international affairs think tank based in London), with the other italian activist Jacopo Bencini, as Italian Representative of the new ambitious project: Common Futures Conversations (CFC).

CFC connect together 26 youth leaders and influencers from Europe and Africa with the aim of developing a digital platform for young people in the two continents to discuss the key political challenges facing both continents in the 21st century.

The first stage of the project is a survey of the political attitudes of young people. The topics include identifying the political challenges facing young people at a national and global level, as well as the habits of respondents in terms of media and technology usage. More information about the survey can be found here
